‘Twas the Night Before Christmas (Tennis Edition)
‘Twas the night before Christmas, And beside every net,
Not a player was volleying,
Not even Pennett(a).
The rackets were laid, By the baselines with care.
And everyone was eating,
None more so than Paire.
The umpires were resting, All snug in their beds,
No fear of Fognini…
Or Rodionova…
haunting their heads.
And though there was training…
still coaches to find,
They wished Merry Christmas,
for all tennis kind.
